Using our Scheme name without permission

The Scheme is aware that some financial advisors may advertise or purport to have experience in pension transfers from the Invensys Pension Scheme. However, please note that the Scheme does not work with nor endorse any individual financial adviser or advisory firm and any claims or indications to the contrary are false.  If we are aware that a firm is using our name in this way, we will undertake to ask them to remove references to our scheme and notify the FCA that a firm is using our name without our permission, and we may take legal action. If you see our scheme name on the website of a financial adviser/advisory firm, then please notify us immediately and if you are still considering whether to use that firm then please be aware that the information provided about the scheme may be incorrect and may not relate to or be relevant to all members. You should also ensure that you check the FCA register to ensure that the advisor or firm has the correct authorisations to provide specialist pension transfer advice. You may also find it beneficial to check the Financial Ombudsman Service website for information or complaints about any adviser or firm advertising or arranging a pension transfer in their case studies as well as any Pensions Ombudsman decisions which may be relevant to your chosen adviser. We have included information about “How would you spot a scam?” on our Pension Scams webpages and remind you that certain sales tactics may be an indicator of scam activity
